William Claude Baker, Iii

William “Bill” Claude Baker, III, 70, of Big Pool and formerly of Urbana, Maryland, passed on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born in Frederick, MD, to the late William Claude Baker, Jr. and Mary Louise Alverta (Flair) Baker. He was the beloved husband to the late Jean Louise Baker.

Bill was employed with Environmental Alternatives Inc. for over 20 years as a truck driver. In his off time, he would visit casinos to play slot machines. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children; Shane Baker (Jami) and Jeanne Baker, his grandson Donavan Santmier, his siblings, Michael Baker (Joyce), Susan Livingston (Larry), and Martha Flook (Bill), his companion Lisa Smoot, and special family members, Bruce and Patty Kinna, and his nephew Thomas Stowers (Kathy). In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his siblings Roland Baker and Sandra Jo Rachel.

Family and friends can gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Friday November 17, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday November 18, 2023 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
