Francine I. Heaton

Francine I. Heaton of New Market Maryland, at age 78 passed away after a long illness on March 18, 2025. She was the devoted wife of Ronald L. Heaton, with whom she shared 55 years of joy, love, and treasured memories. Born to the late Francis A. and C. Isabelle McDonald, Francine’s upbringing laid the foundation for her caring, compassionate, outgoing, and spirit in life. She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Rankin and brother Tim McDonald, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of family, friendship, love, and support. Francine’s greatest pride and joy were her children, Michael (Trina) Heaton and Laura (Rob) Garner. She was also a proud grandmother to Kurtis Heaton, Jacob Heaton, Grace Heaton, Olivia Heaton, Chance Garner, Isabelle Garner, and Noah Garner. In addition, Francine leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grand nephews, and cousins. Her family and friends were the heart of her world, and her legacy of association, love, strength, and kindness will live on through them.
She will forever be remembered for her boundless compassion, warm spirit, and her ability to bring light into the lives of all who grew to know her. A trusted confidante, loyal friend, and pillar of strength, Francine touched the hearts and lives of all who were fortunate enough to become acquainted with and know her. Her family and friends will continue to celebrate and honor her life, cherishing her lasting friendships and memories she created and maintained, and all of the love she so generously gave to all.
Her Family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD, on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 24, 2025 at St Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, Ijamsville, MD (https://www.e-stignatius.org/) at 11:00 AM, and interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Francine’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society https://www.cancer.org/ .
