Ethel Lorraine Cooper

Ethel L. "Sally" Cooper. age 88, passed peacefully at her home while surrounded by family and went to be with her Lord on December 1, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1934 in Knoxville, MD and was the daughter of James and Catherine Fauble. She was the last of her immediate family to pass.

She was known to everyone as both "Sally" and "Grandma". She was a lifelong homemaker and loved to cook Sunday dinners. Grandma enjoyed country music and always welcomed everyone into her home. She believed that there were no strangers.

Grandma was married to her late husband Lloyd F. Cooper, Sr. until he passed in 2001. She is survived by her children; Lloyd F. Cooper, Jr., Bessie L. Cooper (Mike), Ronald E. Cooper (Tina), Elsie A. Horn (Homer), Reta C. Cooper (Ron) and James F. Cooper (Deb). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many family and friends.

Family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street on Sunday, December 4 from 4 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 5 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery in Point of Rocks, MD.
