Cheryl Lynn Anders, 72, of Hagerstown, MD died on December 12, 2024. She was the wife of the late Paul W. Anders, Jr. Born December 12, 1952 in Frederick, MD, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Leroy and Laura Hann. She was a 1970 graduate of Gov. Thomas Johnson High School. Cheryl retired from Frederick County Public Schools as an Attendance Secretary at Middletown High School. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Cheryl was actively involved in their activities. She was a coach for Little League Baseball in Wolfsville, MD and a cheerleading coach for Middletown High School. She thoroughly enjoyed attending sporting events for her grandchildren. Cheryl is survived by four children, Tracey Anders, Brian Anders, Kristy Anders-Foltz, and Daryl Anders, Sr. and wife Brenda; nine grandchildren, Kristina “Noelle” Anders, Austin Foltz, Hannah Foltz, Autumn Turley, Brooke Anders, Daryl Anders, Jr., Piper Anders, Pauley Anders, and Priscilla Anders; and three great grandchildren, April Foltz Case, Jasper Anders, and William Anders. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Cheryl was preceded in death by her son, Paul W. Anders, III; her sisters Janice Long and Beverly Kline; and her brother, Leroy “Frank” Hann, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St, Frederick, MD, where funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the funeral home.
