Brenda Kay Colliflower

Brenda Kay Colliflower, 64, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 17, 2023. She was born January 18, 1959 in Montgomery County to the late Gilbert and Betty Mayne. She was the beloved wife of Jerry Colliflower for 39 years of marriage.

Brenda was a graduate of Linganore High School, Class of 1976. She would go on to have a long career as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Citizens Nursing Home. She had a passion for serving her community and helping others.

Brenda had a sense of humor that was second to none, and a voice that lit up any room she was in. In the summertime, she looked forward to attending local carnivals to partake in food, music, and time with her family. Brenda had a deep love for animals and nature. In her later years, she could often be found watching the birds and squirrels as they enjoyed the backyard bird feeder.

Brenda is survived by her husband Jerry; her daughter Michelle, her daughter Angela (husband Steven); her grandchildren: Kayla, Shane, and Justin; her great-grandchildren: Sophie, Luna, and Sapphira; and her two youngest brothers. Brenda was preceded in death by her son Jerry Jr.; parents Gilbert and Betty Mayne; and her eldest brother.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Viewing will be held on Sunday September 24, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm. Service will be held on Monday September 25, 2023 at 1pm. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
