Marshall Lee Marks, 60, of New Market, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, as a result of an accident near his cabin at River Bend, W.Va. Born on Sept. 29, 1949, he was the son of the late Walton Marks and Pauline (Stout) Marks. He was the husband of Sandy (Shane) Marks. Marshall was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Nicole, with whom he shared a birthday. He was a plumber supervisor for many years. Mr. Marks enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring cars and fishing at his cabin in River Bend. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Nicole Marks; and his brother, George Riddle and wife, Ruthie, of Ohio. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Ruby Shane of Frederick; sister-in-law, Debbie Greenwell of New Market; nephew, Shane Greenwell and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Marks also leaves behind close friends, George Jarrell and Robert "Bubba" Brickhouse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Marks. The family will receive friends from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, the Rev. Katrina Holland officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. Serving as pallbearers will be George Jarrell, Jack Douglas, David Teegarden, Terry Marks, Earl Biscotti and Robert Brickhouse.
