Eleanor M. Waters

Eleanor Mae Waters, 73, of Frederick, died on March 25, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born on May 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Fox and Frances Redman Fox.

Mrs. Waters loved her work as a school bus driver in Montgomery County. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting and had a special affinity for ceramics. She liked to go shopping and eating out at restaurants. Her biggest joy was spending time with her best friend of 50 years, Flo Devilbiss.

Eleanor is survived by her children Jill Manahan and husband Bill of Arnold, Ken Mills and wife Michele of Frederick and Richard Mills and wife Karen of Laytonsville; grandchildren Christopher, Jennifer, Katelynn, Richard, Jr., Kevin, Emily and Nick and step grandchildren Brenna and Trevor as well as her great-grandchild Connor and step great-grandchildren Camden, Cohen and Reed. She is also survived by her brothers James Fox and wife Bonita of Germantown and Donald Fox and wife Rosemary of Mount Airy, her sister Peggy Weiger of Breezewood and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheri Wahl, her son Larry Mills and her son-in-law James Christopher Wahl.

The family will receive friends and family on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 2-3 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3:00 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
