Mr. James R. (Jim) Harmon, Jr. AKA Uncle Bub, age 54 of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy after a brief illness. Born on April 23, 1957 in Frederick he was the son of Ruby A. (Blank) Harmon and the late James R. Harmon, Sr. He had a passion for farming, fishing, hunting, history and the Civil War. He was a heavy equipment operator, an excellent welder and worked mechanically on farm equipment. Mr. Harmon is survived by one son, James (Dee) Harmon, III of Frederick, one brother Randy Harmon of Dickerson, three sisters, Sandra Satryano and husband Samuel of Smithsburg, Susan Sier and husband Allen of Buckeystown and Tammy Harmon and life long partner Richard Sier of Frederick and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Katherine Harmon of Frederick and maternal grandparents Ezra and Evelyn Blank of Frederick. He will additionally be missed by his special friends, Jason, Joey, Chipper, Anthony, A.J. and David. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where funeral services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 2 PM. The interment will follow at the Clustered Spires Cemetery, Frederick.
