Mrs. Louise Morrison Boyer, 92, of Jefferson, died on Friday, May 18, 2012 at Glade Valley Nursing Home and Rehab Center, Walkersville. She was the wife of the late Richard Austin Boyer. Born on January 31, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Morrison and Anna Stottlemyer of Boonsboro. Mrs. Boyer was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she cherished the time she spent on the family farm and was proud of her achievements as a homemaker. "Nanny" was best known for her baking skills and was happiest with family and friends around her table. Louise is survived by her son Richard C. Boyer and his wife Denise Guyton-Boyer and daughter Anna Mae Zecher and husband H. Richard, all of Jefferson. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Julie A. Boyer and Terrence Judge of Bethesda, Robert A. Boyer of Santa Cruz, CA, Angela Kline and husband Steve of Frederick, Joshua Gaither and wife Bonnie of Walkersville, and Bradley Gaither and wife Karen of Keedysville. Additionally, she is survived by great grandchildren Chelsea Kline, Stephanie Kline, Drew Kline, Hayley Gaither, and Jacob Gaither, as well as sister Patricia Moser and sister-in-law Mildred Morrison. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews and enjoyed recent visits with Karen, Cathy, and Sherry as well as Wayne and Pat Guyton. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Boyer was preceded in death by siblings Paul Morrison, Anna Bell Staubs, Margaret Schroyer, Betty Morrison, and Jane Morrison. The Boyer family wishes to thank the staff at Glade Valley for their compassionate care. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 21 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 11:00 AM at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, 6213 Picnic Woods Road, Jefferson with Pastor Tim May officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Jefferson. Memorial contributions may be made in Louise's name to Pleasant View Church of the Brethren.
