Mrs. June Kidd Easton, age 86, of Frederick entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 17, 2012. Born on June 6, 1926, in Walkersville, she was the daughter of the late Roy B. and Virgie (Hummer) Kidd. She was a homemaker and after raising her family, Mrs. Easton went back to school achieving her GED, and later worked in the retail industry. She enjoyed playing cards with the "card sharks" and bingo with her buddies. She was the mother of Earlene Easton of Frederick, Susan (Richard) Best of Frederick, Earl (Lesia) Easton of North Potomac, and Marilyn Easton of Raleigh, NC; the grandmother of Joshua (Haleh) Troy, Chase (Sarah) Smith, Emily Easton, and William Easton. She will be missed by her special friends: Patty Smith, Carol Miller, Linda Castanho, Joan Wisner, and "Mayor" Paul Bowens. She was the last of her immediate family and was predeceased by her siblings, Viola Young Stewart, Charles Kidd, Ruth Burns and Margaret Kennedy and her grandson Gregory Troy. She sorely missed her devoted and beloved cat, Ashlee, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2012. Friends will be received on Thursday, September 20, 2012, from 7 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11 AM. Rev. Rev. Timothy S. May, Sr. will officiate. The interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
