David Allen Brown

Mr. David Allen Brown, 64, of Frederick, died on September 4, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Pamela (Abell) Brown. Born on December 3, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late Anthony Brown and Ann (Nissen) Brown. A resident of Frederick County for nearly 36 years, Mr. Brown was a realtor since the 1990's, most recently for Mackintosh Realtors. He and his wife were married for 43 years. David was an avid golfer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Brian C. Brown and wife Shannon, daughter Corrie Brown Merriman, grandchildren Laurel Merriman, Jaxon Brown and Xander Brown. He is also survived by brothers Andrew Brown and wife Chris, Gregory Brown and wife Mary Anne, Matthew Brown and wife Joanne, and sisters-in-law Peggy DeGeorge and husband James and Mary Jean Brown. David also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Brown. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 9, from 5-8 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Tuesday, September 10 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second Street, Frederick. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Y.M.C.A, 1000 North Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
