Fred C. Gosman

Mr. Fred C. Gosman, Jr., 93, of Frederick and Rockville, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018, at the Edenton Retirement Community. He was the husband of Marilyn Orr Gosman. Born in New York on February 21, 1924, he was a son of the late Fred C., Sr., and Annie Kivlichan Gosman.

Fred proudly served his country during WW II with the Army Air Force as a Staff Sgt. He was retired as a contract specialist with IBM. He was an avid golfer and played with a special group of friends. Fred was a craftsman and worked on many projects, including the building of his cottage.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Fred C. Gosman III and Timothy A. Gosman, three grandchildren, Trevor, Kristin and Jason, three great grandchildren, Kaia, Rosalynn and Liam. He will also be remembered by his former daughter-in-law, Angela G. Gosman.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
