William Patrick Main

November 1, 1957 — January 22, 2025

William (Bill) Main, 67, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on January 22, 2025, in Bel Air, MD. Bill was a beloved husband, father, papaw, brother, and friend who lived a life full of faith, love, and devotion to his family.

Born on November 1, 1957, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Francis and Nannie (Thompson) Main.

He attended St. John's Catholic School and went on to graduate from Frederick High School in 1975. He earned a wrestling scholarship to the University of Baltimore and graduated in 1979 with a degree in business and marketing. Bill spent his early years growing up and helping on the family farm in Urbana, a place that held a special meaning in his heart. Over the course of his career, he made significant contributions through roles at Allstate, TAMKO Building Products, WATLO Home Improvement, and W.F. Delauter & Son. Recently married to Beth, Bill relocated to Bel Air, MD, where they found joy in beginning a new chapter.

A man of deep Christian faith, Bill loved the Lord and served Him faithfully. Bill took great joy in blessing others with his time and skills, especially through helping with auto and home repairs. He valued fellowship with other men of faith, often gathering to study God’s word and strengthen his walk with the Lord. As a devoted father and grandfather, Bill was a constant source of encouragement, regularly visiting his family and attending their events. He was always there to support and uplift his loved ones in all they did. His love for God was evident in everything he did, and his family knew him as a man of integrity, kindness, and compassion.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (Jenkins) Main; his children, Kristen Repasky (Brian) and Kenny Main (Sara); and his grandchildren, Abigail Repasky, Ethan Repasky, Madelyn Main, Coraline Main, and Isabel Main. He also leaves behind his siblings, Tom Main (Cris), John Main (Karen), Andy Main (Jill), and Cindy Brandenburg (Michael). He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Bobby Main. Additionally, he is survived by his stepchildren, Rebecca Jenkins (fiancé Mike Chrismer), Michael Jenkins, Sarahbeth Garris, and Andrew Garris; as well as step-grandchildren, Zane Chrismer, Bella Chrismer, and Audrianna Garris-Walsh. He was a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and will be deeply missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, with Pastor Gary Cox presiding. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick, MD.

In lieu of flowers, honor Bill’s legacy by living with a servant’s heart. Take your loved ones out for a meal and cherish their company, help fund someone’s car or home repair, or bless someone with a gift they truly need. Let’s keep Bill’s spirit of kindness and generosity alive in our daily actions.

We take comfort in knowing that Bill is now in the presence of the Lord. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his unwavering faith, love, and dedication to his family.
