Wanda Kaye Burkett

Wanda Kaye Burkett, 63, of Emmitsburg, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021, at the Saint Joseph's Ministries Nursing Home. Born in Frederick on September 19, 1957 she was a daughter of the late Harry Vernon, Jr., and Anna Mary Druy Burkett.
She had worked for the Frederick County Schools as a bus driver and also as a Certified Nurse's Assistant.
Surviving are her children, John W. Stone, Jr., and wife Angie, of Fairfield, PA and Jennifer Logston, of Houston, TX, four grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, Miakayla and Daylan and siblings, Glenn Burkett, Mary Louise Martin, Vernon Burkett and Barbara Burkett, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Virginia Burkett.
Private interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
