Vilma H. Geiger

Mrs. Vilma H. Geiger, 90, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Homewood at Crumland Farms. She was the wife of 68 years to the late Ralph Geiger. Born July 8, 1929, in Passaic, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Yancy) Panyko. Vilma graduated from Lodi High School in New Jersey and from the Hackensack Medical School of Nursing. She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion in Frederick. She is survived by her grandson, Ryan Geiger and wife Krista, grandsons, Jameson Geiger and Patrick Geiger, daughter-in-law, Rose Graf and husband Rick, dear friends, Faye and Wayne Buckingham, Judy and Gary Main, Maria and Kenny Kite, Cathy Hatfield and Carmel Calderone. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Geiger. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Transfiguration Episcopal Church. 6909 Maryland Ave., Braddock Heights, MD 21714.
