Undine Olsen Bennett

Undine (Dean) Olsen Bennett passed away peacefully on February 11, 2023. Dean was born December 10, 1933 in Highfield, MD. She was the daughter of the late Walter Olsen and the late Zula Eyler Olsen. Dean is preceded in death by her husband Thomas McDevitt Bennett and special friend Ed Conway. Dean enjoyed living in many different places, Frederick, MD, Ocean Pines, MD, Sebring, FL, Myrtle Beach, SC, Thurmont, MD and Homewood in Frederick.

She is survived by her two daughters, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Daughter Cynthia Bennett-McCune and husband Dale of Carolina Shores, NC, and her family - Bennett Stanton and fiancé Winter Harlow and his son Stefan and their daughter Kinsley. Matthew Stanton and wife Kristen. Lauren Suggs and fiancé Paul Marshburn and her son Zain. Cody Suggs and wife Melissa and their daughter River. Daughter Wynne Bennett Linehan and husband Chuck of Frederick, MD and their family - Christopher Linehan and wife Alyssa and their daughters Ella and Zoe. Sean Linehan and wife Anna and their children Clara, Lyla and Jack. Kevin Linehan and wife Brooke and their son Tanner.

Dean started her working days as a waitress at Camp Louise in Cascade, MD. Then after her marriage to Tom, she worked at Fort Detrick in Frederick and later opened her own business Dean’s Drapery Korner. She was a lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. Dean was involved in scouting when her daughters were young, was a Sunday school teacher and enjoyed activities like bowling, tennis, golf and playing cards. She was not only a talented interior decorator but she also loved to paint, sew and refinish furniture. Her greatest joy was enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Also preceded in death were her siblings Doris Moore, Richard Olsen, Everett Olsen, Thomas Olsen, Winifred Olsen and lifelong friend and niece Bonnie Hayman.

The family would like to thank Frederick Health Hospice for their assistance during this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Frederick Health Hospice. At Dean’s request, the immediate family will hold a special private celebration of life.
