Timothy R. Morgan, Jr.

Mr. Timothy R. Morgan, Jr., 80, of Frederick, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. He was the loving husband of Mary Carter (Hendrickson) Morgan for 50 years.

Tim was born in Newport News, VA and graduated from Warwick High School. He was recruited to play Offensive and Defensive Tackle for the University of Maryland football team. He went on to work for many years in Petroleum Sales. Tim was a past President of the Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Frederick. He was active in All Saints' Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry and was an usher. As a member of the Rotary Club of Frederick since 1986, Tim was proud of his nearly 37 years of Rotary service and cherished the many friends he made there. He was also a member of the Frederick Cotillion Club.  He was on the board for the Frederick YMCA and volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America. A passionate sports fan, he supported the Terps, Redskins, and Orioles.

In addition to his wife, Tim is survived by his son; T. Carter Morgan, daughter; Virginia Arey and husband James, grandsons; TJ Arey and Luke Arey, brothers; Arthur Morgan and wife Ann and Wayne Morgan, sister; Pamela Morris and husband Bob, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be held at 2pm on March 31 ^st at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 106 W. Church Street, Frederick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tim's name to All Saints’ Episcopal Church or The Community Foundation of Frederick County.
