Terence Lee Morgan

Terence Lee Morgan, 79, of Frederick, MD passed away at his home with his loving wife Susan Kaye Chase by his side, on Thursday, August 8, 2024.

Terry was born in Frederick on April 7, 1945. After graduating high school in 1964, Terry enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Vicenza, Italy until 1968. Serving in the Military Police, Terry rose to the rank of Sergeant, was a certified Sharpshooter, and a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal.

Terry lived life to the fullest. After his years of Service, Terry played semi-pro football with the Frederick Falcons, built microchips for satellites at Comsat, and went on to join his close friend Bruce Jett in starting a car sales business in Frederick, MD, where he enjoyed working and entertaining his coworkers until early 2024. Terry’s passions included watching his sons play football with the Linganore Lancers, golfing weekly with Mike, Pete and Wayne, fishing with his grandchildren, and yelling at the Dallas Cowboys to play better. Terry also loved traveling with Susan and she helped him find new interest in Broadway Musicals.

Terry was the son of the late Luther and Thelma Morgan. Surviving Terry are his sons Brett Morgan, and wife Ally of Rockville, MD and Bryan Morgan of West Virginia. When Terry and Susan married, Terry gained a daughter, in Lauren Clark and husband Michael, of Fairfield, PA and a son in Vincent Chase, and wife Katherine, of West Virginia. Also surviving are Terry’s beloved in-laws, Larry and Nancy Ahalt of Frederick, MD and cherished grandchildren, Ronan and Elowyn Morgan, Lillian and Eli Clark, and Gabriel, Liam and Vivienne Chase.

Terry was a man of roguish charm, quick wit and a kind heart. He will be truly missed by countless treasured friends, whom he considered family, including his life-long friend Benny Grove.

Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2pm on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick MD, with the funeral service immediately following, also at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home.
