Sylvia Ann Golombieski

Mrs. Sylvia Ann Golombieski, 81, of Frederick, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Frederick Health. She was the wife of John Golombieski for 62 years.

Born January 19, 1941 in Shamokin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude Mowery.

Sylvia graduated from Shamokin Catholic High School Class of 1958. She loved to travel with her family and friends. Most of all, Sylvia was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sylvia and John never missed a family event.

In addition to her husband; she is survived by her daughter; Deborah Brunner (Brian), son; John Golombieski III (Diana), grandchildren; Nicholas Brunner (Briana), Tyler Brunner, Casey Golombieski and Jarod Golombieski, and great-grandson; Luke Brunner.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm, on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00PM, on Friday, January 13, 2023 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville. Interment will take place at 1:00PM, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sylvia's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
