Sonny Lippart

Joseph E. “Sonny” Lippart, age 82, passed away at Autumn Lakes at Birch Manor in Sykesville, MD on Friday, October 7, 2022. Sonny was born in Washington, DC on June 11, 1940 and was the son of the late Sybil and Leo Lippart.

Sonny is the husband of Mary Fogle Lippart. They were wed on December 18, 1979.

He worked as a self employed truck driver for JEL Trucking. Sonny enjoyed coon hunting, riding his Harley and working on old cars.

Sonny is survived by his daughters Susie Gerhart, Jennifer Lippart, Beverly Lippart, Crickett McCrary, ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Richard Lippart.

The family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 12 – 1 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 1 P.M. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
