Sandra Juanita Dicken

Sandra Juanita (Simmons) Dicken, 82, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 16,
2023. She was born on June 21, 1940, in Frederick, MD and was the daughter of James Nelson Simmons
and Elizabeth (Sweeney) Simmons.

Sandra graduated from Frederick High School in 1958. She was married to Robert F. Dicken, Jr. for 63
years who preceded her in death in June 2022. Robert and Sandra moved to Florida 15 years ago.

Sandra, often known as Tanny, worked many years as a bookkeeper/accounting manager first for her
father’s business and later for a developer/landscaper and at Triangle Outdoor World in Frederick, MD.

Sandra is survived by her children, Robert Nelson Dicken (Robin), Michele René Ritter (James), Sean
Timothy Dicken (Barbara), Lisa Maria Levy (Mark), Jason Alexander Dicken (Johnette), grandchildren
Melinda Accardi (Kristopher), Rhonda Borne, Rosa Payne (Michael), Valerie Ritter, Tiffany Garcia
(Matthew), Stephen Ritter and Caitlyn Dicken, great-grandchildren Kaylee Borne, Taylor Borne, Raylin
Payne, Charles Accardi and Eliana Accardi, and brother & sister in law Eugene and Cathleen Wahl.
Sandra was also preceded in death by her daughter Judi Amé Dicken, brother James Chester Simmons
and brother Robert Raymond Simmons.

Visitation will be held at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD on
February 1, 2023 from 9 – 10 am. A service of Christian Burial will immediately follow at Keeney Basford
Funeral Home with Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at
