Roger Eugene Rose, Sr.

Mr. Roger Eugene Rose Sr. 79, of Brunswick, passed away April 14, 2023 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Dianne (Rhinaman) Rose for 61 years.

Born April 20, 1943 in Clintwood, VA and he was the son of the late George and Olzie Rose.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter; Loretta Anne Beard and husband Paul, son; Roger Eugene Rose Jr. and wife Bunny, grandson; Scott Alexander Beard and wife Devon, granddaughter; Victoria Olzie Beard. great-grandchildren; Tapanga Beard and Brooks Beard, sister; Elizabeth Sluss (Sissy) and husband Ron and in-laws; Peggy Goetz and husband Bobby, Billy Rhinaman and Janie, Bobby Rhinaman and wife Wanda and Roger Rhinaman and wife Marsha, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings; Dolly, Dorothy, John, Loretta and Arvil.

He was the owner of Roger’s Painting and Construction for many years and later retired from Lennar homes. His hobby was part time farming with the family. In his early years, he was very active in coaching children's sports. He later started the PVYA Baseball in Brunswick/Jefferson area and his biggest joy was spending time with his family.

The family will receive friends from 3pm to 7pm, on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11am, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in the Etchison Chapel at the funeral home with the family receiving friends at 10 am. Inurnment will be at a later date.

In lieu flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roger's name to your local youth sports organization.
