Robert Clark Sausser

Robert Clark Sausser, age 80, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away peacefully on Monday July 27, 2020 in Frederick, MD. He was the beloved husband of Diane Sausser. He was born in Washington, DC on July 13, 1940 to the late Frederick and Alice Sausser. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his daughters Megan Souder and husband Howard, Robin Carter and husband Gary, grandchildren Lauren, Erin, William, Matthew and Evan and five sisters (Nancy Cowne, Elizabeth Gregoria, Sue Donegan, Mary Cole, and Linda Raiford). Bob worked in the landscaping business for over 35 years. He owned All Green Nursery, a landscaping company in Hyattsville, MD founded by his father which he eventually ran. Bob enjoyed helping others and generously volunteered his time to many charitable organizations. He was active in the Lions Club International, the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Bob was always ready to talk to anyone about anything. His infectious smile and silly jokes in combination with his loud voice and generous spirit brightened up any place he went. Bob and Diane travelled extensively over many years. In addition to travelling and spending time with his grandchildren, he enjoyed gardening and reading. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Cordova, Maryland. All services will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
