Robert - Burch

Robert L. “Bob” Burch, 73 of Frederick, Maryland passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Kline Hospice House in Frederick, MD, after a brief battle with cancer.  Bob was born in Washington, DC on Friday, June 20, 1947.  He was the son of the late Louis Claude and Elinor Louise (Smith) Burch.  He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Raymond Claude Burch.

Bob was a graduate of Good Council High School in Wheaton, Maryland, Class of 1964.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970.  In 1974, Bob graduated from the University of Maryland, with a degree in Information Systems Technology.  He worked as a private contractor doing computer programming for the United States Government for most of his career.

Bob was a member of St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Catholic Church.  He was also a member of the Francis Scott Key Post 11 American Legion, and of the Frederick County Society of Model Engineers Railroading Club.

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary D. Daniels and her four children, Jennifer, Rebecca, Andrew, and CJ; his previous wife, Debra Burch, and their three children, Christopher, Victoria, and Kyle; and seventeen grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Cemetery, Frederick.  Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
