Robert Donald Berkebile

Robert D. Berkebile of Frederick passed away on Thursday, September 12 at Frederick Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Born on November 3, 1928, in Johnstown, PA., he was the son of the late Harold E. Berkebile and Bertha Haas Berkebile and was the husband of Avalon W. Berkebile. After graduating from Penn State University, he served in the military for many years
and was retired from the United States Naval Reserve. He was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Evan and Charles Berkebile. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepson Greg M. Orris and wife Dawn, of Frederick, his stepdaughter, Natalie O. Ross and husband John of Myersville, two grandchildren, Michael G. Orris of Frederick, and Kristin O. Brandenburg and husband Michael of Frederick.

In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. and inurnment will be at the convenience of his family.
