Richard Harold Mcknight

Richard H. McKnight, age 81, of Frederick, MD died September 4, 2022 at Frederick Health Hospital. Born May 29, 1941, in Brunswick, MD, he was the son of the late Richard L. McKnight, Sr. and Grace Taylor McKnight.

He is survived by his wife Lynn H. McKnight, and son, Scott R. McKnight and wife Ashley R. McKnight, of Hanover, MD. Three grandchildren: Molly O. Drumm; Tucker R. McKnight and Pierce T. McKnight. He is also survived by a brother, Franklin & Darlene McKnight, and sister-in-law, Cindy McKnight, Nieces & families: Christi & Zack Fleagle, and Crystal & Joshua Burns. Deceased family members: Parents, daughter: Misty S. McKnight, and Brother: James (Jimmy) C. McKnight. He is also survived by his wife’s three brothers and one sister and numerous nieces and nephews.

Richard loved Country Music and was the leader of the Country Music Band “The Midnight Express.” He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Rt 144, Frederick, MD.

The family will receive friends at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 10am until the start of the funeral at 11am. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
