Phyllis Helen Horman

Phyllis Helen Summers Horman, of Williamsport, MD., formerly of Hagerstown and Frederick, went home to be with the Lord on November 15, 2024.

She was the wife of the late Lewis E. "Pud" Horman. She was a life member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren. In her youth, she graduated from Frederick High School, Class of 1960.  She worked for the Atomic Energy Commission, as well as for several construction companies as an on-site administration specialist. She enjoyed Bingo and trips to Charles Town, WV, with her sisters.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents,, Oscar Summers and Annie Elizabeth Hann Summers, her husband Lewis E. Horman, siblings Elwood Lawson Summers, Sr., Elsie Summers Cole, Mary Elizabeth Summers Keeney, Grace Irene Summers Schlesinger, Ruth Louise Summers Fisher, James Hamilton Summers, Francis Julia Summers Main, Oscar Filmore Summers, Gorman Franklin Summers, Annie Elaine Summers Keeney and Robert Carl Summers.

She is survived by her sons Thomas Edward Horman of Baltimore, Jonathan Fouche Horman and wife Beatrix Horman of Hagerstown and Andrew Patrick Horman of Hagerstown, sisters Lydia Belle Summers Miller, Betty Caroline Summers Hayward and Evelyn Marie Summers Mossburg, grandchildren Jennifer Louise Horman, Patrick Oliver Horman, Melissa Sue Horman, Racheal Nicole Horman and great grandson Oliver Horman.

A viewing will be held at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
