Mrs. Pauline G. Cosgrave, 89, of Frederick, entered into eternal peace at her daughter's home surrounded by her devoted family on Sunday, October 13, 2019. She was the wife of the late Donald Lee Cosgrave, who died in 1976.
Born April 18, 1930, in New Market, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Jefferson and Daisy Odessa Haines McDonough. Mrs. Cosgrave was a life-long homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and animals but most of all, loved spending time with her children and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan J. Bruchey-Hamalainen, of Middletown and Donna Rae Cosgrave, of Hagerstown; one son, David Lee Cosgrave, Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Lori Pettyjohn and husband, Mark, David L. Bruchey II and wife Leah and Matthew Cosgrave and wife Danielle; seven great-grandchildren, Allison, Andrea, Evan, Faith, Alayna, Eric and Grace; two great-great-grandchildren, Ava and Claire as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cosgrave was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Cosgrave, Jr, and Gary Wayne Cosgrave, USAF; two brothers, L. Franklin and Raymond E. McDonough; and two sisters, Nettie Louise Moxley and Clara Irene Smith-Toney.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9pm on Tuesday, October 15 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wed., October 16 from the funeral home. The Rev. Dr. James E. Moore, will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
