Mr. Paul Vincent Turner, 82, of Frederick died Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his residence.
Born September 1, 1940 in Shookstown, he was the son of the late Charles I Turner and Anna Margaret Mowery Turner.
Paul worked several jobs including the Heart Institute, The Allergy & Infectious Disease Institute, National Institute of Health. Later he worked for the Naval Security Station in Washington, D.C. While there Paul joined the Air Force Reserve. Paul then went on to work for the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn, MD in the Budget Office, where he retired in 1995.
Paul made many friends throughout the US most becoming friends for life. Those include Wayne Combs of Texas, Phil Hall of N.C and Kirby Updike of Boston, VA. Friends closer to home include- The Dorsey Brothers (Ron, Gene, Bob and Les), Larry and Craig Gossard and John Green.
Paul is survived by brother; Carroll Turner, special niece; Diana Long, special cousin; Jane Harrison (Tom) of NM, niece; Leslie Smith, nephews; Tom Long (Kim), Randy Turner, Steve Turner and Frankie Smith, numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by brother; Robert Turner Sr., sisters; Rosalie Long and Anna Smith, special nephews; William "Billy" Smith and Charles "Gene" Smith.
Paul's wishes were to be cremated and join his mother at her final resting place. Inurnment will private.
