Patti Sowell

Ms. Patti LeRoyce Sowell, 71, of Frederick, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Born October 30, 1952 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Dorothy Sowell.

Patti was a nurses aide at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  She retired as a Manager from Masser's Motel.  She will be missed for her kindness and generosity to anyone she met.  She loved her dogs; Punkin, Cricket and Lelo, plus all of her many cats.  Most importantly, she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughter; Christina L. Leizear and husband Ronald, grandson; Christopher R. Mender, nieces; Noreen Schultz and husband David, Tami Seeders and husband Jimmy and Kristi Brown, and nephews; Norman Sowell and Jay Shelhorse and wife Chris; sister-in-law; Nancy Sowell, numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.  She will be missed by many close friends

She was preceded in death by her brother Norman L. Sowell and sister; Dorothy C. Shelhorse.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 5pm, on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church, Frederick.  The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
