Patricia Allcox Harich

September 27, 1945 — September 6, 2024

Patricia “Trish” Allcox Harich, 78, born on September 27, 1945, left us peacefully on September 6, 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, and friend whose life was marked by creativity, love, and a kindness that touched everyone she met.

From a young age, Trish found immense joy in crafting, and her hands were rarely still. She ran her own craft store with boundless enthusiasm, turning it into a vibrant community space where people came to learn, create, and connect. Her store wasn’t just a business; it was a place where she shared her passion, inspired countless others, and created beautiful projects. Her love for crafting extended to her kids and grandkids, enriching their lives with creativity and joy. These cherished moments and friendships are her lasting legacy.

Trish also dedicated 20 years to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, where her commitment and hard work were evident in everything she did.

After retiring from the federal government, Trish and her late husband John relocated to the Outer Banks, where she had many memories from her childhood. They treasured their years there, embracing the beauty and love of those around them. They enjoyed riding their bikes and strolling on the beach with their dogs, Princess and Joy. Trish and John delighted in country line dancing, always thriving on the rhythm and community it brought. They also cherished playing cards and dominoes with family and friends, making every game a joyful and memorable occasion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Geraldine Allcox; her husband, John Harich; her son, Drew Zudal; her stepdaughter Michelle Harich; her sister, Elaine Pearce; her nephew, Charlie Pearce; and her loving dog, Princess.

She leaves behind her sister Sherry Morris and husband Norman Morris; her brother-in-law Ronnie Pearce, her son Shawn Zudal; her daughter Melissa Crawford and husband Rick Crawford; her stepson John Harich and wife Elise Harich; her stepdaughter Melanie Mullaney; and a large, loving family of grandchildren: Austin Fisher, Alexandra Fisher, Payton Zudal, Cassidy Wyatt, Drew Wyatt, Jake Zudal, Dakota Harich, Taylor Mullaney, Cole Crawford, Jessica Crawford, Kay Lawrence, Tara Zudal, Riley Harich, Zoey Harich, and great-grandchildren Bradley Walton and Finch Lawrence. She is also survived by her faithful dog Joy, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Trish’s warmth, generosity, and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her spirit of creativity and kindness will continue to inspire us all.

The family will receive friends at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Saturday, September 28, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
