Neil Corselius

Dr. Neil Palmer Corselius, 85, of Lititz, PA, was ushered into the presence of his Savior on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Born June 30, 1938, in Ransom Township, PA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Lura (Klipple) Corselius. He was married to his beloved wife, Susan Ellen Palmer, for 55 years until her death in 2017.

Neil graduated from Penn State University, where he was a member of the Delta Theta Sigma fraternity. He then graduated from NY State Veterninary College (Cornell) and worked as a large-animal veterinarian at Glade Valley Animal Hospital in Frederick, MD. “Dr C” was a member of the Maryland Veterinary Association, American Bovine Practitioners, and American Veterinary Medical School.

Neil faithfully served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years at Peoples Baptist Church in Frederick, MD. He was instrumental in the foundation of Frederick Christian Academy, where he was a long-time board member. After moving from Frederick to Lititz, PA. Neil was an active member at Harvest Bible Church in Lancaster, PA. He was a loving husband, father, pappy, and friend who never neglected the opportunity to strike up a conversation with those around him. When he was not serving others or sharing the gospel of Jesus with them, he loved to be in his garden or tending his wood stove.

Neil is survived by his children, David Corselius (Cheryl) and Julie Gerard (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Kathryn Corselius, Caleb Corselius, Madelyn Gerard, Ethan Gerard (Katie), Grace Gerard and Ian Gerard; sister, Rebecca Roberts (Richard); sister-in-law, Sandra Corselius; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Susan; parents; and brother, James Corselius.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Peoples Baptist Church, 6648 Carpenter Road, Frederick, MD 21703. Dr. Kent Ramler will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 AM, with a lunch to follow. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Christian Academy, 6642 Carpenter Road, Frederick, MD 21703.
