Nancy Lorraine Himes

     Mrs. Nancy Lorraine Himes, 82, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Ballenger Creek Center. She was the wife of the late John T. Himes. Born in Middletown on September 26, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Albert Edgar and Marie McIntyre Castle.   Nancy had worked for several years as a custodian for the Visitation Academy. She  had attended  Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church, Frederick. She was an member of the Frederick Eagles Club.   Surviving is her step son, Joe Thomas of Ocean City, sister, Joyce Burkett and husband Buddy of Frederick, brother, John Castle of Boonsboro, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends, including special friends, Carolyn Wetzel, Bonnie Young and Mignetta Doody. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Alice Eagle and Shirley M. Howard and two brothers, Ernest Castle and Gene Castle.   A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Pastor Mark Claiborne, will officiate.
