Mitch Tyeryar, Sr.

Thomas “Mitch” Tyeryar, Sr., 56, of Thurmont, passed March 13, 2022, at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Born in Frederick on January 14, 1966 to the late Benjamin and Gail (nee Blair) Tyeryar, Sr. He was the beloved husband to the late Gidget Marie Tyeryar.

Mitch was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and golf. He also enjoyed NASCAR, motorcycle racing, and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. Mitch was known for his friendly attitude and kind heart. Everyone he met was a new friend. He will be most remembered as a loving family man who cared deeply for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Thomas "Bo" Tyeryar Jr., Jackie Baer and husband Kevin, Danielle "Buggy" Tyeryar and boyfriend Collin. his grandchildren, Landon, Emmalin, Mia, Gracen and Kashton. His siblings, Benjamin Tyeryar, Jr., Lorraine King, Kenneth Tyeryar, Robert Tyeryar, Ralph Tyeryar, and Edward Tyeryar. As well as several in-laws, numerous cousins, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Merhle and Gary Lee Tyeryar.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 2pm.
