Michelle Marie “Mickie” Miller O’Donnell, 61, of Frederick, MD passed suddenly on May 1, 2019. Born September 3, 1957 she was the daughter to the late John C. Miller II and Theresa Hubin (nee Templeton). She was the beloved wife to James “Jimmy” O’Donnell.
Mickie had a passion for life that she shared with her husband Jimmy whom she married in 2002. Often traveling to places like the Caribbean or Ireland and many US road trips especially with dear friends Pat,Tom, Richie and Cathy. Together they fostered numerous cats and dogs often
adopting the animals taken in, Patrick and Gizmo will miss their Mom. She had a contagious laugh and brought happiness and joy to her many friends and work associates. She was also passionate about her 30 year plus time at first MAMSI then United Health Care. She loved the Baltimore Orioles, and the discovery of new food brought on by T.V. personalities like Anthony Bourdain. Mickie loved Downtown Frederick having lived here her entire adult life. She particularly loved the corner window table in Il Porto and table 21 at Volt. Mickie and Jimmy are eternally grateful to Hilda Staples and Bryan Voltaggio for making Mickies dreams come through when Bryan came and cooked her a birthday dinner at their home on South Street.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by siblings; John C. Miller III (Amy) and Jan Scott (Neal Kirkpatrick), step siblings; Elaine Hughes (David) and Steve Hubin, nieces and nephews; Nathan, Sarah, Jack, Angel, Megan, and Conor, close friends; Jeanne, Aggie, Francie, Pat, Jenn
and a host of extended nieces, nephews, and family from Ireland.Mickie and Jimmy are also grateful for their adopted families, The O’Connells and The Kellys. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her step father Tom Hubin.
Family and friends can gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Sunday May 5, 2019 from 2 pm – 5pm. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 East 2nd Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Monday May 6, 2019 at 11 am. Interment will be private.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Katie, Joseph and Daniel for all the help they provided espicially over the last two years.
