Michael Thomas Mcleod

Mr. Michael Thomas McLeod, 67, of Frederick Maryland passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was the husband of Dawn Elizabeth McLeod for almost 42 years. He was born in Frederick on October 10, 1951 to the late Clarence Dell and Betty Jane McLeod.

Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a concrete mixer driver for Genstar for most his life. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends most of all. He was a lifetime Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Raiders fan. He belonged to the Francis Scott Key American Legion Post #11 and the Amvets Post #2.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his only son Justin Michael McLeod, siblings Robert McLeod and wife Frances, Ronnie McLeod and wife Shirley, and Barbara Palermino, in-laws Sandy and Bob Vorlaufer, Ronnie and Sharon Gartrell,  Dana and Brian White, and his special mother-in-law Libby Gartrell. He was preceded in death by brother Phill McLeod and sisters Judi McLeod, Joyce Dennis, and Millie Ziegler. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends. He will be especially missed by his “Granddog” Louie.

A memorial service to honor Michael’s life will be held at the American Legion Frederick Scott Key Post 11, 1450 Taney Ave., Frederick, MD 21702 on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 11AM-2PM.
