Maureen M. Kallstrom

Mrs. Maureen M. Kallstrom, 83, of Frederick died Tuesday February 28,2023 at Frederick Health Hospital.

Maureen was a nurse, having graduated from Frederick Memorial School of Nursing and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She worked at FMH, the National Naval Medical Center, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Community Living of Frederick County and the Social Security Administration.

She was active in the community- serving on the Boards of the Record Street Home, Historical Society of Frederick Co, and the Community Foundation of Frederick Co. She also served on the Bell and History Days Committee, Attorney Grievance Commission and the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Taskers Chance Garden Club.

She and Bob loved to travel, especially with good friends and visited many sites in the US and Europe.

Mo, as she was known by many, was an avid bridge player and played in several groups.

Maureen is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Kallstrom and their sons, Paul and David.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Ann Schindel; brother, Richard B. Israel; daughter-in-law, Xana Kallstrom; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held for the family. A celebration of Maureen's life will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm, in her condo located at 2250 Bear Den Road, Unit 408, Frederick.
