Mary Elizabeth Toms Remsberg

Mary Elizabeth Toms Remsberg, age 96, passed peacefully at her home on June 1, 2024.  She was born in Middletown, MD on February 11, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Grayson Guy Toms and Bessie Bowlus Toms.

Mary was a homemaker most of her life, proudly raising her son Garry on the family dairy farm in Buckeystown, MD.

Mary was an active member of Evangelical Reformed United Church of Christ, Buckeystown Homemakers, where she was a Past President and a member of the Frederick County Farm Bureau.

Mary is survived by her grandchildren Garry Remsberg, Jr. of Juneau, Alaska and Deanna Ridgely (John) of Frederick, MD., three great grandchildren, Valerie and Natasha Remsberg of Juneau, AK and Grayson Ridgely of Frederick, MD, two sisters Rebecca Evanger of Virginia and June Griffith of Keedeysville, MD. She is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Emory Earl Remsberg, Jr., and son Garry Lee Remsberg, Sr., brothers Donald Lee Toms and Daniel Herman Toms and sister Gladys May Poole.

Visitation will be held at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. at which time the funeral service will commence. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
