Mary Alice Stup

Mary Alice Stup, 68, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at her home in Frederick, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. David Stup, on August 25, 2020.

Born September 15, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Richard K. Miller, Sr., and Betty C. Barthlow Miller. Mary Alice was a 1971 graduate of Frederick High School. She had been employed in administrative positions with Sagner, Inc. and Fort Detrick. She later assisted her husband in the operation of his family business, Stup’s Garage and Used Cars. She had been a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, where she served as assistant organist and choir leader. In recent years, she had been attending services at Adamstown Community Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Winters, her brother, Richard K. Miller, Jr., and several cousins. She will be remembered as a kind and generous friend.

Private graveside services were held at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Monday, December 13, 2021, officiated by Dr. Raymond Moreland. Arrangements were by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home.
