Mary Ann Shankle

Mary Ann Shankle, 77, of Frederick, MD, passed away on Friday March 22, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital. Born in Olney, MD, on April 8, 1946,  to the late Stella Mae Earp. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Robert Lee Shankle, Sr.

Mary enjoyed word searches, bingo, crocheting, watching Court TV, and reading romance novels. She will be most remembered for the love she gave raising her family and the time she spent with them.

She is survived by, her daughter, Tammy Shankle, her grandson Vernon Simmons (Michael), siblings, James Earp, Viola Williams (Drew), Ruth Earp, Barbara Flohr (Merle), and Butch Earp (LuAnn), daughter-in-law Jennifer Shankle, special niece Stacey Siebert, and many other nieces and nephews. In addition to husband and parents, she is predeceased by, her children Robert Lee Shankle, Jr and Donna Dryman., siblings, Alice Pomroy (John) and Virgil Earp (Glenda).

Family and friends can gather at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Thursday March 28, 2024 at 1pm for a graveside service.
