Mary Ellen Morningstar

Mrs. Mary Ellen Morningstar, 99, of Frederick, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Morningstar.
They were married on June 29, 1946. Born on November 8, 1919 in Tuscarora, she was a daughter of the late Lee T. and Ellen L. Stocks Frye.
Mary was retired after 33 years with the Postal Service in Washington, DC, where she worked as a secretary for the Post Master General. She was a member of the Forest Grove United Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and care givers at Citizens Nursing Home and the Hospice staff at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Surviving her are many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert C. Frye, Harry B. Frye, Sr., William L. Frye, Maggie L. Renn and Margie L. Warner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.
