Mary Catherine Cashour, 85, died peacefully in her sleep on April 2, 2023 at the Somerford House and Place Frederick, under the care of Hospice, from complications of Vascular Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease.

She entered several of her hand knitted children’s sweaters and won numerous ribbons. After retiring from full time work, Mary enjoyed traveling the USA and the world. She and her husband Ed took frequent trips, and had been to every state except for three. Some of her favorite places were Alaska, Hawaii, Mount Rushmore, the Grand Canyon, and France, Italy, China, Russia and Ireland.

A breast cancer survivor, Mary was into physical activities such as walking, line dancing, and exercise classes. She also enjoyed the many antique estate auctions held at the Frederick Fair grounds on Saturdays.

Mary was a very kind, loving, caring, and generous spouse, mother, great-grandmother, aunt and a sweet thoughtful person to everyone she met. She was a genuine friend to many!
