Mary Jane Briggs

Mary Jane Briggs, 87, of Frederick, MD, passed on September 18. 2022. Born June 9, 1935 to the late Ira and Myrtle Lee (Gue) Wilson. She was the beloved wife to the late Arthur Samuel Briggs.
She was a loving mother and grandmother, a caretaker and great listener who loved to catch up with others. She loved having guests for holidays and always made sure everyone had a present for Christmas. She was also known for being ornery and voicing her opinions. Her hobbies included playing bingo and going to yard sales. Where she enjoyed collecting knick knacks.

She is survived by, her children, Wayne Tenly, Doug Tenly (Peggy), Michael Tenly, Connie Liller (Lee), and Robert Briggs (Maria), her siblings Janet Samaroo, Thelma Bruchey, Donald Wilson, and Paul Wilson, 14 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her children Don M. Tenly and Joyce D. James, daughter in law Dede Tenly, and her 9 other siblings.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 East Church Street, Frederick, Maryland, 21701, on Tuesday September 27, 2022 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. Graveside funeral services will be held at the Rockville Cemetery, 1350 Baltimore Road, Rockville, Maryland 20851, on Wednesday September 28, 2022 at 11am.
