Mary Margaret "Marg" Brandenburg

Mary Margaret “Marg” Brandenburg, 81, of Adamstown, passed away on June 29, 2023.  She was the wife of the late Norman E. Brandenburg.

Born in Sterling, VA on December 6, 1941, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Williams. Marg was a graduate of Poolesville High School Class of 1960. She was retired from the Department of Energy.

Surviving are her son, Michael and his wife, Cindy, of Ijamsville, grandson Jason Gates and his wife, Erin, of Rockville, grandson Andrew Rosencrantz and his girlfriend, Chelsea, of Adamstown, son-in-law Bayard Rosencrantz, of Adamstown, great granddaughter, Avery Gates, sister Carol Sullivan and her husband, Galen, of Boonsboro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Laura Rosencrantz, sister Helen Vincent and brother Charles Williams.

Family will receive friends at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Monrovia, MD.
