Mrs. Margaret Clem Dutrow, 88, of Frederick, died Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Record Street Home. She was the wife of the late Norman Dutrow Jr., who preceded her in death in 2016. The family would like to thank the staff of Record Street Home for the loving care and attention they provided Margaret and her family. Born October 11, 1930, in Frederick, she was daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Keyser) Clem. She was a graduate of Frederick High School Class of 1947. Following graduation, she worked at Richie & Associates. After having children, she returned to the workforce as a bookkeeper for Terrace Lanes in Frederick and worked there until her retirement in 1994. Margaret held offices in the Pythian Sisters of Maryland and Women of the Moose. She was an active member of the Bethel Church Busy Bees. Margaret enjoyed bowling, traveling, and delighted in spending time with her granddaughters. During football season, she was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. Mrs. Dutrow is survived by son Lewis Dutrow, daughter Rueyann Stottlemyer, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Dutrow, and granddaughters, Jessica Stottlemyer, Eliza Stottlemyer, and Ava Dutrow. Her brother Walter Clem Jr. also survives along with many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sisters Mildred Cain, Dorothy Jacobs, and Betty Cannon, and one brother David Clem. The family will receive friends from 4 pm to 7 pm, on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 9664 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21701. Rev. Karin Albaugh will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Record Street Home, 115 Record Street, Frederick, MD 21701.
