Leona Facine

Vesta Leona Facine passed away on January 13, 2025, in Westminster, MD. She was born on October 22, 1932, to the late Osa and Leonard Morrison, in Freed, WV. Leona was married to the late Michael Lee Facine, Sr. for 65 years. She is survived by her 5 children, Michael (Debbie) Facine, Jr., Leonard (Elva) Facine, Joy (Bill) Butler, Faith Dixon and Phil (Marlene) Facine. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren, Madison (Luke), Mackenzie, Anton, Richard, Braydon, Colby, Jonathan, Christopher and Colton. She is also survived by her brother, Dexter, her sister, Beverly, a brother-in-law, 2 sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren and 2 sisters-in-law. Leona was a devout Christian who devoted her life to her faith and serving others. She was active in several church communities over the years, sharing her kindness, wisdom and love for God with everyone she met. Friends and relatives are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 E. Church Street, in historic Frederick, Md. from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Interment immediately following Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. Flowers are appreciated, or if preferred, a donation to Maryland Food Bank or Frederick County (MD) Humane Society would also be appreciated.
