Kenneth Eugene Davis

Mr. Kenneth Eugene Davis, 86, of Frederick, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Frederick Health. He was the husband of Lorraine Johnson Davis.  They celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary this past June. Born in Washington, DC on June 30,   1933, he was the son of the late Henry and Clara Buffington Davis.
He graduated from McKinley Technical High School in 1950 and then proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force.
He was a Montgomery County Police Officer for five years and then was an architecture draftsman for over 45 years . He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church where he enjoyed singing in the Gospel Choir. Ken was a founding member of the Colonel William E. Weber, Chapter # 142, Korean War Veteran's Association, a member of Francis Scott Key American Legion Post # 11 and the Amvets Post # 2.  He loved his country, was a member of the NRA, and had a deep appreciation for the military.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: Leigh Marion and husband Mike, of Newmarket, NH, Whitney Owens and husband Donovan, of Fayetteville, NC and Ashley Frushour and husband Jamie, of Myersville; nine grandchildren: James, Scott, Jillian, Chris, Andy, Garrett, Kendal, Katie and Skyler; great-granddaughter, McKayla.  He will also be remembered by extended family and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Joanne Aynes Davis and daughter, Lynn Davis.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, November 22, 2019, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 133 East Second Street, Frederick. Interment will be private. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Colonel William E. Weber, Chapter # 142, Korean War Veteran's Association , P. O. Box 1674, Frederick MD 21702 for the Scholarship Fund.
