Karen Miss

Mrs. Karen Lynne Miss, 61, of Frederick, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Frederick Health.  She was the loving wife of Wayne Miss for 32 years.

Born March 15, 1963, in Shreveport, LA, she was the daughter of the late Richard and JoAnn Lewis.

Karen worked for National Geographic Society as a Total Rewards and Recognition Partner.  She was very involved with Pleasant View Church of the Brethren serving as a Deacon, Member of the Church Board and sang in the choir.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter; Ashley Dutrow, and son; Thomas Miss.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.  A second service will be held at 11:30AM, on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, 6213 Picnic Woods Road, Jefferson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Karen's name to the Frederick Humane Society, 1786 N Market St, Frederick, MD 21701.
