June Dolores Easterday

June Dolores Stockman Easterday, 94, of Frederick, passed on Friday December 30, 2022, at Frederick Health Hospital. Born June 1, 1928 to the late John William and Wilhelmina (nee Speaks) Stockman. She was the beloved wife to Louis Richard Easterday who passed on December 22, 2007.

June attended and graduated from the Frederick Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1948. She would work as a registered nurse throughout her life. She was a member of the Emmanuel Trinity Lutheran Church. Where she was a Sunday school teacher and played the organ. June was also involved in women’s group with the church.

She will be remembered as a hard worker who loved to take care of her family. She would cook, bake pies, can, or sew. She devoted her time to be with her children and grandchildren. June also enjoyed trips to Hawaii.

She is survived by; her children Richard K. Easterday (Jill Weddle), Lu Ann Earp (Butch), Lisa Foreman (Franklin), and Mark Easterday (Kathy), her grandchildren; Keith “Chop” Easterday (Heidi), Jessica Easterday, Adam Earp (Alana), Jacob Earp (Shasta), Sarah Easterday, Kimberly Foreman, Dr. Tonia Mayhew (Mark), and 14 great-grandchildren, her siblings; James M. Stockman and Karen M. Miller (Austin). In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her son David Easterday.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Luke’s Cemetery, Feagaville.
