Mrs. Julia Harrison Thompkinson, 91, of Buckeystown MD died Saturday Jan 28 at her home in Buckeystown MD. She was the wife of the Late Clarence Allen Thompkinson for 50 years. Born September 25 1931, in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late William E. & Doris A. Miller.

Julia worked as a secretary until her retirement and in her spare time she loved to crochet and work in her garden.

Most of all she was the loving mother of five children; Wayne Lee Miller and wife Elesa of Silver Spring, MD; Steve Allen Thompkinson and wife Cindy of Wisconsin; Julia Ann Duncan and husband Buzzy of Delaware; Theresa Gail Lapanne and husband Kevin of Buckeystown MD; and Thomas Evan Thompkinson of Brunswick MD. 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters Mickey Young and Doris Weaver of Frederick MD and her late brother Mikey E. Miller of Virginia; and her half sister Elana of Ontario. She will also be remembered by her special little girl, Brooke Madison Derexson of Frederick MD and Christopher Beckett and wife Laura of Ohio.

A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048, on Friday February 3, 2023 at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Julia's named can be made to the ASPCA, PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929.
